Grades K - 4

Our all day kindergarten program provides skills and preparations for first grade. Kindergarten through grade four stress the basic skills of core subjects by providing for traditional and non-traditional learning strategies. Core classes are self-contained. Students also enjoy art, music, computer, and physical education classes staffed by qualified faculty members.

Our Reading Literacy program emphasizes both the phonetic and whole-language approach. Students are introduced to a variety of cultural novels to further their appreciation for diversity and learning.

Progress in Mathematics is a challenging  hands on approach to learning math. Students are given the opportunity to observe, explore and process mathematical concepts for daily living. Progress in Mathematics is published by Sadlier and provides online student and family resources for each Math Concept taught in the classroom.

St. Roch Middle School Mathematics Project: The middle school mathematics program at St. Roch School is changing.  St. Roch initiated The St. Roch Middle School Math Project in the 2009-2010 school year.  The project emphasizes curriculum in grades 6 and 7 to prepare all students for algebra in grade 8.  The other St. Roch teachers of mathematics in the intermediate grades prior to middle school are enhancing student capacity to succeed in the middle school rigorous program.

The DASH Science program is a developmental approach to understand how technology and

science are integrated.
