Week of November 3, 2008   Fifth Grade

Religion—We are currently studying the Sacraments of Initiation, specifically, the Sacrament of Baptism.  Students who are absent need to acquire missing notes when they return.  Please also keep advised of due dates for projects throughout the school year.

 

History—We are currently studying Chapter Four: Early Empires.  The Lessons will be studies on the following days:

 

Ch. 3 Review Worksheet—Due Tues., 11-4-08.   TXBK Pgs. 136-137—Due Wed., 11-5-08.

Chapter Four Test is scheduled for Thurs., 11-6-08.

 

Math—We are studying Chapter Three: Dividing With One Digit Divisors. The Lessons will be completed on the following days:

 

Ch. 3: L. 3-13, 3-14, and 3-15—Mon., 11-3-08.   Ch. 3: L. 3-13, 3-14, and 3-15—Tues., 11-4-08.

Hot air balloon patterns were given out last week. Hot air balloons are to be built of tissue paper, with a liftoff date of Tuesday, Nov. 11.

We are beginning Ch. 4 in the Voyages textbook. Vocabulary is due this Thursday, 11/6.

                 Video on the Civil War - we are watching in class and the students are taking notes.
