Exploring Mathematics is a hands on approach to learning mathematics. The other component of the mathematics program is called Accelerated Math by Renaissance Learning. This a computerized program that provides individual practice and testing on daily skills taught in the Exploring Mathematics Program, pre-algebra, and algebra programs. Parents receive computer generated notes about their child's progress in the Accelerated Math Program. The mathematics program helps students master basic skills to prepare them for pre-algebra and algebra classes prior to eighth grade graduation.
The Second Step, drug prevention and conflict resolution program, provides students the opportunity to develop communication skills necessary to solve daily problems that are age appropriate so as to influence the choice students make.
In keeping with its value-centered Catholic program, religion is a natural part of our curriculum. Students participate in
Sacrament of Reconciliation and the
Celebration of the Eucharist throughout the school year. Seventh and Eighth grade students also receive the
Sacrament of Confirmation.
